INTERIOR S+J
interior
2025
This interior is conceived as a sheltered clearing within the timber structure, a space where architecture withdraws into atmosphere and material presence. Set in the midst of untouched nature, the house absorbs its surroundings. Wood becomes envelope, structure, surface, and light-modulating device — an almost continuous matter through which the space acquires depth, silence, and warmth.
The living area rises in a double-height volume, as a measured intensification of space. The vertical expansion introduces light, air, and distance, while maintaining an intimate relation to the body and to the landscape beyond. Within this restrained wooden field, the dark red seating appears almost as a saturated topography — dense, tactile, and sensual.
Dark green-stained veneer deepens the interior further, introducing a muted chromatic tension that recalls shadow, moss, and the density of the forest. The project is defined by these subtle shifts: between openness and enclosure, softness and structure, neutrality and intensity. What emerges is an image of domesticity, a precise spatial mood — a warm, introspective interior where material, color, and proportion construct a quiet but immersive world.
